Aldrich started his violin lessons under the
tutelage of Mr Yap Ling, He has appeared as a soloist for the Vivaldi’s Four
Seasons concert with the Scrolls String Ensemble and performed in the 3rd
annual Kota Kinabalu Jazz Festival with the SIA band.
As the founding member of the Malaysian
Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO), he was involved in many art-promoting
projects. Aldrich’s commitment was later discovered by the ESO programme
supported by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and he was invited to perform
with the 2012 United Kingdom Fine Youth Musicians at the Cadogen Hall London,
under the artistic direction of world renowned cellist, Guy Johnston.
To achieve his ambition, he studied under Mdm
Malgorzata Potocka and currently pursuing his degree in music in the University
of Malaya. His involvement with the DSCH quartet has been active in the Klang
valley area and was invited by the Persatuan Chopin Society to perform with
Malaysian jazz queen, Sheila Majid.
